Please note that she speaks about 'bottled drinking water'. In the UK it is OK to make up Bird Builder with tap water as it suitable for drinking, however care should be taken to ensure the freshness of the water and the mixed solution should not be kept for too long a period of time. We therefore suggest mixing smaller amount more regularly, rather than mixing the whole bottle at once.

PROCEDURE: The Bird Builder was diluted as necessary in glass Class A volumetric flasks. The elements Chloride, Flouride and Bromine were analysed via Ion Chromatography (I.C.). Cold Vapour Atomic Absorption (CVAA) was used for analysis of Mercury. Graphite Furnace Atomic Absorption (GFAA) was the method used to determine Arsenic, Selenium, Lead and Antimony. Semi-quantitative analysis for all other elements was carried out using Inductively Couples Plasma - Optical Emission Spectometry (ICP-OES). No quantities of the following elements were detected using Western Analysis' Instruments: Indium, Holmium, Europium, Hafnium, Neodymium, Tellerium, Arsenic, Lanthanum, Osmium, Tin, Tungsten, Lead, Rhenium, Nickel, Iridium, Thorium, Beryllium, Palladium, Yttrium, Platinum, Rhodium and Mercury.

Directions
• Add 30ml Bird Builder to 1 gallon (approximately 4 litres) drinking water; for smaller quantities use 7.5ml for 1 litre etc.
• Keep refrigerated or in the dark.
• Use as the bird's only source of drinking water.
• Not recommended for use with birds eating 80% or more of a formulated diet, or taking iodine supplements
